The Colossi of Memnon are 2 huge twin Statues made from blocks of quartzite sandstone.which guard the entrance to the Amenhotep Memorial Temple.There is a beautiful legend that says the statues would sing at dawn and this was the tears or dew drops from his mother after his death. It was actually a rupture in the stone so when the wind would break through the statues would sing. At the Colossi of Memnon you have the perfect opportunity also to take some fabulous photos.

King Ramses II was the most famous king to rule in Pharonic times.
